MEET THE TEAM SEF
Janki Teli
Janki Teli holds a master’s degree in Zoology with specialization in Wildlife Biology and Fishery Science. With over 18 years of experience in wildlife research and nature education, she is particularly passionate about working with children and young adults to promote critical thinking and understanding of the environment and nature. Janki has conducted ornithological research and developed tools to help students and enthusiasts identify and learn about birds. She has also conducted marine research projects in the Gulf of Kachchh – Gujarat focusing on coral reef health. Janki has worked as a scientist with institutes such as Gujarat Ecological Education and Research Foundation, Bombay Natural History Society, and Center For Environment Education. She has contributed to National Children Science Congress and collaborated with Vigyan Prasar on creating nature education materials. Janki is the author of two books, multiple reports on birds and marine life, and has published scientific papers in reputable journals. She has also been involved in scripting and directing educational documentaries on birds and providing technical expertise for developing a bird identification software program for amateurs.
Bhavik Patel, Ph.D
Dr. Bhavik is a dedicated conservationist with extensive experience in Nature Conservation, Research, and Education since 1994. He earned his Bachelor's degree from MS University and a Master's degree in Environmental Science, specializing in Natural Resource Management and Environmental Education, from Bharti Vidyapeeth. He completed his doctoral thesis from Zoology Department of The Maharaja Sayaji Rao University of Baroda on Mangrove Ecosystem. His professional background encompasses a wide range of ecosystems, from mountains to oceans. He is a Fellow of LEAD India from Cohort-20 and a life member of both WWF and BNHS. He is a certified Open Water Diver from Scuba School International and a skilled underwater photographer. He authored more than 15 peer-reviewed scientific publications along with numerous general articles in various nature-based publications.
